Is this wrong?

I have an AKC Maltese, he personally isn't a champion, but I'm sure he could be. His bloodline is full of ch. He isn't technically mine, but my fiancees parents gave him to me, cuz they had too many dogs, and don't want to breed anymore. That being said, there is a woman who wants to stud her female to my 'male'.. But I don't want to charge her, I want a little girl (my choice of which) out of the litter instead, but if her dam doesn't have a girl, then too bad for me... Is that wrong? I think its a rather nice gesture on my part, but she thinks I'm trying to scam her...
