Skydiving!??!?

I'm taking my boyfriend to go skydiving for his 21st birthday. it's perfectly safe right? what happens when my parachute doesn't deploy? what if the back-up one doesn't deploy either?! Yes i'm scared, but i'm going to do it for him. So .. basically my question is; is it safe and fun enough to do it again?!?!?!
