Can my employer cut my pay without telling me first?

I'm in Canada, but that sure sounds fishy!!! Unless you are on salary. I mean, salary is for a "full time" sort of work, right? But them again, if the roads all suck and even the 4x4 work-slave-rescue squad had problems reaching you... well... I dunno. I'd be calling someone in the labor offices to ask about this situation, and if it is allowed or not. Be ready to lose your job if you pursue this. Your boss sounds like a total donkey-rear anyway.
